Obituary of Georgie Freida Shook
Georgie Freida Henry Shook 80 of Sylva went to her heavenly home on Wednesday December 11th. Freida was the daughter of the late James Don Henry and Mary Mathis Henry. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and had worked at Skyland Care Center.
Also preceding Freida in death were her husbands, W.T. Cabe and John Shook, Jr.; an infant daughter, Vicky Lee Cabe; two brothers and three sisters.
Freida is survived by her daughter, Diane (Michael) Beck and her son Randy Cabe. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Freida is survived by three sisters, Frances Styles, Ruby (Lawrence) Davis, and Dixie (Larry) Cagle. She is also survived by her very special friends David and Doris Farmer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. James (Bo) Brown and Rev. Roger Stewman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John-David Styles, Blake Styles, Tyler Thomasson, James Davis, Larry Cagle and Steve Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be David Styles, Jack Hoyle, Kenneth Dean, James Conner, Jeff Gunter, Lawrence Davis and Bo Cagle.
