Obituary of Barton King

Barton King, 93, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday December 29, 2019. Originally from Michigan, and raised in Lake Worth, Florida, he was the son of the late Willard and Alice King. Barton was a WWII Navy Veteran, and was a pilot who loved vintage airplanes. He loved to sail and travel. He also enjoyed mining for gold and was an amazing inventor. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his siblings; Gerald, Alma and Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Judith King His children; Catherine King of Dillsboro Patricia King of Whittier Donald King of Whittier Kristen (Aaron) Buchanan of Canton Timothy (Donna) Campbell of Lake Park, Fla Janet (David) Meade of Stuart, Fla 5 Grandchildren- Albert, Michael, Douglas, Ashley and Bethany A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday Jan 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
