Obituary of Rubye Hamilton

Rubye Hamilton, 91, of Sylva, passed away on Sunday, March 1st, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ten Hamilton. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sylva and loved working in her flowers. Rubye dearly loved her family. Rubye is survived by four daughters; Teri and Reta Hamilton of Sylva and Vicki (Jim) Hall Tina (Wendell) Fowler of Virginia. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter also survive along with her beloved grand dog; Cece. A memorial service will be held later at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sylva. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: Jackson County Animal Shelter, 463 Airport Rd., Sylva, NC 28779.
