Sue Duke, like most of the choicest Christians I've known, was gentle, quiet and willing to serve God and others from the shadows. When I was a student at WCU, she and Harry welcomed me into their home as if I were one of their own. Every week they would feed a few of us pizza and let us watch "60 Minutes" on their television. As greeters, Harry and Sue were the first faces and voices most people experienced as they came to Cullowhee Baptist. I never stopped being blessed by them....they took relationships very seriously. From there, a life long friendship matured. I will forever be in Sue's debt. When I get to heaven, I'll have her stir up a gallon or two of her famous iced-tea. We'll sip a glass together. Blessings to all.

Sue Duke was one of the finest ladies I have ever known. To her children, she was a special mother but to the rest of us she was a true friend. We love and miss you Sue ! May God comfort all you children now as you say "see you later mama" as one day we will all join her in heaven. God Bless You all !
