Obituary of Sarah Sue Duke

Sarah Sue Norton Duke, age 84, of Cullowhee died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Autumn Care in Waynesville, NC. Sarah was born October 19, 1929 in Jackson County NC. She is the daughter of the late Lem and the late Mae (Hooper) Norton and was preceded in death by her husband Harry Duke and three brothers Ben, Roy and Dennis Norton and one sister Hilda Hale. Sarah was a devoted military wife and mother and a member of the Cullowhee Baptist Church.. She is survived by two sons Mike of Cullowhee and Dean of Delaware. Two Daughters Shannon and Debra Duke of Cullowhee and one Brother Luther Norton of Brevard. Five Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday September 6, 2014 in Cullowhee Baptist Church with the Dr. Jeffery and Rev. Tonya Vickery and Rev.Joe Yelton officiating. Burial will follow in Cullowhee Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the Church.
