I am so grateful for that time.
Though only able to speak but a few words due to aphasia, Michael ended up comforting US at hospice. Great Love, compassion, gentleness & appreciation for one another was exchanged as individuals and as family that day. I will never forget the way my big brother bravely, courageously accepted and faced each obstacle, each huge challenge that came before him, with great calm and dignity -even when he had no choice left for his earthly body - but to let go, let God.
What a gift he gave to my sister and I when he chose,as we both held his hand, to leave gently, peacefully, and easily, with just the three of us alone together in his room, as a God chosen song floated through the air.
Thank you, Michael, my big brother, for making everything alright, for allowing us to see you fill with Light, and for letting me know you are now free of pain, whole again, you still have your voice, and your Spirit is now abiding in a Joyful place of Pure Light and Love. <3

Too many memories in a sister's heart to try to write them here.
Michael was a funny red-headed kid who beat up my stuffed animals and sometimes drove me crazy, the quintessential little brother, he did the job well. He grew up into the sweetest man, soft-spoken and gentle like our dad.
I have missed our Friday phone conversations for a year and a half now. And will probably miss them for a long time to come.
May you rest in the deepest peace, brother. Love love love.

Michael will be greatly missed at Mountain Trace. We enjoyed getting to know him and then to love him like a brother. We will always have special memories of his smiling face and kind heart. Micheal was always very appreciative of the care he received. Phyllis always looked forward to working with him with his therapy and getting him to laugh or smile. Claudia always looked forward to seeing him sitting at the corner people watching with his smiling face. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. With Love Phyllis Wheatley and Claudia King
