Obituary of Kimberly Renee Freshour

Kimberly Renee Rhinehart Freshour, 51, born May 16, 1963 in Sylva, NC, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 8, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Dills Rhinehart and Eleanor Cable Rhinehart of Sylva, NC. Kim was a 1981 graduate of Sylva Webster High School and a member of East Sylva Baptist Church. She worked for BiLo Corporation for 21 years and TD Bank for 18 years. She was also a 1978 Charter Member of the North Shore Cemetery Association. Kim loved her church, Christmas time, going across Fontana Lake to Hazel Creek, trips to Cades Cove, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved her friends from the auction, and treasured her family and all the time spent with them. She was the light of our lives and a blessing and inspiration to those who knew her. In addition to her father, Kim is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Gail Rhinehart. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 12 years, Sherman Perry Freshour, Jr. and her sister, Kathy Rhinehart Morgan. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive. A funeral service will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at East Sylva Baptist Church with Revs. Charles Dean and Reed Benson officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 10, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in the Lovedale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Stan Sutton, Ottie Vance, Danny Allen, Heath Woods, Stacy Woods and Chip Hendricks. Honorary High School Friends are Mona Brooks, Martha Carpenter, Janet Lee and Cindy Walker. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lovedale Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 160 Lovedale Rd, Sylva, NC or the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave, Charlotte, NC 28207. . .
