Obituary of Rosa Lee Bowers

Rosa Lee Crawford Bowers, 82, of Tuckasegee, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday morning December 13, 2014.A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William Robert and Mary Crawford. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, cooking and gardening. She loved her entire family, children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Bowers, her daughter Colleen Bowers Conner, her sister MayBelle Harris, her brothers, Amos, Lewis, Huey and Dewey Crawford, Granddaughters Miranda Bowers and Melinda Diane Hickey and a grandson Michael Paul Bowers. She is survived by 6 Sons- Ernest Bowers and his wife Pat Crawford of Salem, SC Nelson Bowers and his wife Linda of Sylva John Bowers and his wife Paige of Central, SC Jackie Bowers of Salem, SC Frankie Bowers and his wife Joy of Cullowhee Odell Bowers and his wife Sheila of Nanjemoy, Maryland 2 Daughters- Nancy Powell and her husband Narviel of Dillsboro Pam Mace and her husband Eddie of Tuckasegee 1 Brother- Frank Crawford of Marietta, SC 22 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren also survive Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday December 16 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Tom Holden and David Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9:00 pm Monday evening at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Branch Cemetery in Bryson City. Pallbearers will be Anthony and Steven Mace, Quincy Clayton, Mathew, Corey and Wesley Mills. .
