Obituary of Jayne Rogers Wells

Jayne Rogers Wells, age 81, of Sylva passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. Born February 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Mildred (Johnson) Rogers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Wells and one infant sister. Ms. Wells worked for over 25 years at the A.K. Hinds University Center at Western Carolina University. She was a member of the Sylva Lion's Club and held the office of Treasurer. She was a member of Love's Chapel Methodist Church in Sylva and loved reading a good mystery book, genealogy, and an Atlanta Brave's fan. Her dearest love was spending time with her family as she was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and a new great grandmother. Ms. Wells is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wells of Sylva, two granddaughters; Heather Rothrock of Raleigh and Kimberly (Mike) Corelli of Sylva as well as her great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Corelli.
