Obituary of Ronald James Ward

Ronald James Ward, Sr., 71, of Cherokee died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Harris Regional Hospital of Sylva, NC. Mr. Ward was born December 20, 1944 in PA. He is the son of the late Watson Frances and the late Emma Mayberry Ward. He was married to the late Sandra Lee Walk. He was employed as a contractor in the construction industry. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 1 son Kelly. He is survived by two daughters: Terry Wright of Asheville and Tammy Ward of Cherokee; two sons: Ronald Ward Jr. of Sylva and Thomas Ward of Cherokee and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday August 16th at Bethel Cemetery in Cherokee, NC with Rev. Bo Paris officiating.
