Obituary of Barbara Ann Rogers

Barbara Ann Rogers, 80 of Cullowhee went home to be with her Lord on Monday October 10, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late William and Estelle Love Rogers. She was a member and the piano player for AME Zion Church in Cullowhee. Mrs. Rogers retired after 23 years at Southwestern Child Development. She absolutely loved her entire family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Keith Coleman; two brothers, Howard and Bill; and four sisters Louise, Evelyn, Helen, and Tean. She is survived by one son Rodney Cassius Coleman of Cullowhee; two daughters, Lisa Scruggs of Spartanburg, SC and Pamela Walker of Pontiac, MI; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16th at 2:00 pm at AME Zion Church with Elder Herbert Grant officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday October 15th at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. . .
