Obituary of Bernice Marie Edmondson

Bernice Matthews Edmondson, age 90, died December 1, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by family, close friends, and caregiver Beverly Pendergrass. She lived most of her life in Robersonville before moving to Sylva. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy, two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her two daughters: Wanda Wolfe and husband Charles of Sylva, and Debbie Cole and husband Jay of Durham. She was a loving grandmother to Lori Broome and husband Rusty, Amy Manshack and husband Scott, Morgan Graham and husband Eric, Jessica Davis and husband Ken and Michael Cole and was affectionately known as "Gigi" to her nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters Joyce and Nellie Gray and brother Fred. Bernice enjoyed fellowship with her friends at the Jackson County Senior Center and Love's Chapel United Methodist Church. Prior to the visitation and service, the family will be at Bernice's residence. Visitation will be December 4, 2016 2:00pm at Love's Chapel Methodist Church followed by funeral Services beginning at 3:00pm. Burial will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Love's Chapel Cemetery Fund.
