Obituary of Edna Violet Owen

Edna Violet Owen, age 76, of Toccoa, GA died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center of Gainsville, GA. Edna was born March 21, 1940 in , Transylvania, NC. She is the daughter of the late William Webster and the late Shirley Mae (Warren) Frady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Thomas Owen; two sons, Tommy Owen and Jerry Owen; a sister, Dorothy Anders; and brothers, Robert and Berlin Frady. She worked as a textile employee and homemaker, she enjoyed her animals, flowers, and her music. She is survived by sons, Tim (Susie) Owen, Gene Owen, David Owen, Mitch Owen, and Brian (Wilma) Owen; daughters, Reba Henslee and Margie (Louis) Stern, brothers, Douglas Frady, David Frady, Preston Frady; a sister, Vera Cartee; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Brian and Wilma want to thank everyone who helped on Edna's behalf. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6 at Wolf Mountain Baptist Church, Wolf Mountain Road, Tuckasegee, NC with Rev. Devon Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Wolf Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
