Obituary of Justin Cochran

Staff Sergeant Justin Douglas Cochran, 35, of Sylva, North Carolina serving in the United States Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on December 24, 2016. He was born in Sylva, NC to Anita DeHart and Jeffery Cochran. Justin enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing softball, bar-b-queing and most of all spending time with family and friends. He was always laughing and joking. He had a smile that would light up the room. Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Percival DeHart, his father in law, Noel Jones, his step grandmother, Lenora Rogers, his uncle Larry DeHart and his grandmother in law, Kathleen Derrick. Justin leaves behind his wife, Crystal Jones Cochran; step son, Stahle Wyatt; dog, Jenny; his parents, Anita DeHart Britinall (Philip) of Bryson City, NC; Jeff (Donna) Cochran of Stecoah, NC; step dad, James (Sherry) Rogers of Sylva, NC; his grandmother, Floye DeHart of Bryson City, NC, Helen Woodard of Alarka, NC, Doug Cochran of Whittier, NC; his sisters, Heather Cochran of Shelby, NC, Angela Hauck of Puyallup, WA, Haley Cochran of Stecoah, NC; uncle Raymond (Kim) DeHart, Aunt Maxine (DL) Largent and special uncle David Breedlove; mother and father in law, Diana Jones and Mike Siske of Webster, NC; sister in law, Kim Wright (Tim) of Bryson City, NC; one brother in law Zachary Siske; nieces and nephews, Carter Hauck of Puyallup, WA, Blake (Kayla) Wright of Whittier, NC, Paige Wright of Whittier, NC, Emma Maney of Bryson City, NC and Zane Alexander Griffin; cousins, Joule Lowman, Jake DeHart, Kaylan Pierontoni and Christina Barker. Justin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, friends and extended family around the world. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5-8PM with a funeral service to follow on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00AM both at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC 28779.
