Obituary of James Thomas Nations

James Thomas Nations, 70, of Dallas, Georgia and formerly of Whittier, NC, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late Odell and Lottie Dills Nations. He was a member of Crossroads Full Gospel Church in Dallas, Georgia. He enjoyed watching sports, but loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter Tabitha Jordan and by two sisters; Sue Lovedahl and Jane Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Iris Jones Nations Stepson- Hank Jordan of Dallas, Georgia 2 Granddaughters- Vanessa Jordan and Carolyn Jordan Williamson Great Grandkids- Terry Howell, Aysia Dunn, Rylee Williamson Brother- Fred Nations of Whittier Sister- Linda Gass of Whittier Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Friday February 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Mike Farmer, Eddie Stillwell and Ray Fox officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Thomas Sylvester Nations Cemetery in Whittier.
