Obituary of Ronnie Jackson Parris

Ronnie Parris, 79, of Sylva, NC passed away Wednedsay, February 1, 2017. He was the son of the late John B. Parris and Julia Crawford Parris. He was married to Nell Parris. Ronnie served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964. He is survived by two daughters Rhonda Queen, Cullowhee, NC and Becky Fisher of Sylva, NC; two step-daughters Shirley Crotts of Rutherford, NC and Diane Price of Rutherford,NC; two step-sons Doyle Conner of Rutherford, NC and Mike Ollis of Rutherford, NC; five grandchildren Denise, Jason, Matt, Calvin and Sammie and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by one grandaughter Dawn Nicholson, seven brothers and two sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Carl Stepp officating. Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Addie Cemetery. Appalachian Funeral Services is handling arrangments.
