Obituary of David Dexter Wilson

David Dexter Wilson, 57, of Sylva died Friday , February 2nd at his home. He was born in Jackson County and is the son of the late John Dexter Wilson and the late Evelyn Woodard Wilson. He was disability retired and prior to his retirement, he worked in the construction industry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother; Harlie Wilson, and his grandmother; Maggie Wilson. He is survived by one daughter; Sheila Renee Wilson, and three granddaughters, one brother; Grover (Margie) Wilson, one sister; Ruth (Mark) Rosenloff, and one sister-in-law; Della Wilson. Also surviving are three aunts; Mildred (Lewis) Pangle, Iva Nell Miller, and Louise Woodard as well as one uncle; Jim (Joyce) Woodard. A memorial service will be held at a later date and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Appalachian Funeral Services 165 Skyland Dr. Sylva, NC 28779 to assist with the funeral expenses. Appalachian Funeral Services is serving the family.
