Obituary of Mary P. Painter

Mary Painter, 86, of Sylva, passed away Tuesday morning February 7, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Burke and Annie Lee Frizzell Painter. A member of Faith Baptist Church, she loved reading her Bible. In her later years she was learning to play the piano. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Walter Burke Painter Jr., and by her sister Ruth Snyder. She is survived by; Sister- Doris Monteith of Sylva 2 Brothers- Johnny Painter of Sylva and Harrison Painter (Ina) of Knoxville, TN Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday February 19 at.Faith Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to help with Funeral arrangements. .
