Obituary of Inez Louella Ramsey

Inez Mathis Ramsey, 89, of Whittier, NC passed away February 11, 2017. She is the late daughter of Morgan Mathis and Ida Dockery Mathis. She was preceded in death by her husband LD Ramsey who passed away in 1997. Inez was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved caring for her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed traveling and also going to gatherings whether it be to birthday parties or family functions. She is survived by one son James Ramsey; four grandchildren Brittany Ramsey, James Lee Ramsey, Jeffery Earl Ramsey and Mary Jane Dills; two caretakers Mary Guthrie and Angelina Mathis; great grandchildren Zachary Levi Ramsey, Tiffany Nicole Ramsey, Izayah James Crews, Abella Jean Mathis, Destiny Kristine Mathis, Waylon Seth Dills, Ronnie Dale Dills, Hayden Jay Ramsey and Tyler Mitchell Ramsey; Several Nieces and Nephews also are surviving. She was also preceded in death by a brother Dewey Mathis. Graveside service will held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 2:00pm at Sherill Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Rev. James Lee Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow the service at the cemetery. Appalachian Funeral Services is handling the arrangements.
