Obituary of JoAnn Cogdill

JoAnn Patterson Cogdill, 76 of Whittier, NC went home to be with her Lord February 15, 2017. She was the daughter of late Harry and Ida (Nations) Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cogdill who passed away in 1984. She was a member of Wilmot Baptist church. She attended Southwestern Community College where she studied cosmetology and food services. She was loving mother and Memaw. She is survived by two daughters Ceretta Davis and husband Johnny, Pearl Cogdill both of Whittier, NC; two granddaughters, Jessica Steele (Harry) and Stephanie Burns (Brad); six great grandchildren Trinity Mathis (Keith) , Tanner Burns, Braxton Burns, Olivia Steele, Tim Burns, Shelbee Burns; one great-great grandchild Hadleigh Mathis; one sister Virgina (Jenny) Allred. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by a special friend Roger Dean Beasley. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3:00pm at Wilmot Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Davis, Rev. Lanny Nations, Rev. Brad Burns and Rev. Harry Steele officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Nations Creek Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Pratt, Dr. Noell, Dr. Mohai and all the nurses in the ICU Department.
