Obituary of Hilda Virginia Fisher

Hilda Fisher, 86, of Sylva, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning February 28, 2017. Born in Crossville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dell and Cora Wood. She liked to do crafts, sew and loved to cook. She loved her family and children and was a very strong willed woman who could make anyone laugh. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 2 of her children; Donna Jean and Greg and one brother Billie. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Lewis Fisher 3 Daughters- Brenda Fisher Bryan (Justin) of Sylva Sandra Diane Reese (Dennis) of Kings Mt. Sherry Lynn Fisher of Kings Mt. 2 Sons- Gary Fisher (Bess) of Marshall, NC Scott Fisher (Elisa) of Gastonia 1 Brother- Cooter Wood of Sylva 3 Sisters- Jackie Brown Joyce Adams Priscilla Brown all of Sylva 19 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday March 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Avery Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Funeral Home.
