Obituary of Margie Ree Dills

Margie Messer Dills, 86, of Dillsboro, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday March 4, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Edd and Dezzie Wykle Messer. She was a member of Webster Baptist Church. She loved canning and working in her garden. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Wayne Dills, her grandson; Scotty Levi, 3 sisters; Ella Mae Messer, Hester Jones and Bea Nations and her brother; Don Messer She is survived by; 2 Daughters- Linda Brown of Cullowhee and Ruby Dills of Dillsboro 1 Son- Jake Dills of Dillsboro 6 Grandchildren- Brenda Levi, Kevin Dills, Travis Fisher, Rachelle Draughn, Jaime Dills and Tamara Tipton 6 Great Grandchildren- Angela Woodard, John Wayne Dills, Katie Wike, Aiden Draughn, Natalie Fisher, Lincoln Draughn 2 Sisters- Faye Nations and Gertie Parris of Whittier. 1 Brother- EJ Messer of Whittier Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday March 8 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home Burial will be in Barkers Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Betancourt, Butch Bradley, John Sutton, Travis Fisher, Casey Jones, Sam Blanton The family would like to thank everyone at The Hermitage for all their love and kindness.
