Obituary of Emma Lou Fisher

Emma Henson Fisher, 91, of Glenville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Friday March 17, 2017. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ola Henson. She was a cherished member of Glenville Wesleyan Church, where she was devoted to her Church and Church family. She was also a very devoted mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. With her husband she operated Fishers Grocery. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Glenville Cashiers Rescue Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years William Fisher, her daughter Patricia Moss and a brother; Marvin Henson. She is survived by; Daughter- Penny Kerns (Pat) of Asheville Son- Ed Fisher (Patty) of Glenville Daughter- Kathy Holland (Marvin) of Brevard 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren also survive Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday March 21 at Glenville Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Ralph Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jackson County Council of Aging, 100 County Services Park, Sylva, NC 28779 or to the Hospice of your choice.
