Obituary of Scott Dean Ashe

Scott Dean Ashe, age 46, of Sylva passed Thursday, April 6, 2017. Scott was born in Jackson County on August 28, 1970, to Mary Lou Ashe and the late Henry P. Ashe. He was a man who loved to be outdoors; fishing, camping, ginseng digging and he especially loved it when it snowed. In addition to his mother Mary Lou Ashe of Sylva, NC he is survived by one daughter Joni Danielle Ashe of Mt. Holly, NC, two brothers Mike Ashe (Wanda) of Webster, NC and Rev. Tommy Ashe (Susan) of Whittier, NC, one sister Sheila Ashe of Sylva, NC, one niece, one nephew, one great niece and two great nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating. Burial will follow the service at Stillwell Cemetery.
