Obituary of Bennie Berniece Green

Bennie B. Green, 88, of Sylva passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Leamon and Gracie Green. She was a member of Green's Creek Baptist Church and loved cooking and baking cakes for her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Margie Sutton and Doris Barron and 1 brother; Ray Green. She is survived by 1 brother; Morrison Green and 2 sisters; Jane (Al) Hughes and Juanita (Larry) Ward. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly. Services will be held at Appalachian Funeral Services Chapel on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev Tom Lavin officiating. Burial will follow in Greens Creek Cemetery. . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Green's Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o JoAnn Garner 1683 Green's Creek Rd Sylva, NC 28779. Appalachian Funeral Services is serving the family.
