Obituary of Robert Dan Buchanan

Robert Dan Buchanan, age 92, of Sylva died Sunday, May 21, 2017. Mr. Buchanan was born October 3, 1924. He was the husband of Victoria Deitz Buchanan and the son of the late Tom L and Carrie (Sutton) Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 66 years; Victoria Buchanan along with four sons; Ronnie (Kathy) Buchanan, Dale (Beverly) Buchanan, Randall (Mia) Buchanan, and Keith (Lisa) Buchanan. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. One grandson preceded him in death. Two sisters; Lula and Helen along with two brothers; Bill and Tommy also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 27th at Deitz Memorial Baptist Church with Rev Robert Blanton and Rev. Charles Dean officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26th from 6 until 8 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services.
