Obituary of Bobby Joe Johnson

Bobby Joe Johnson, Sr., 70. of Tuckasegee, went home to be with His Lord, Wednesday June 21, 2017. Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, he was the son of the late Norman and Georgia Mae Johnson. A dedicated diesel mechanic, he had worked at Carolina Tractor and was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Catherine. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean M. Johnson 2 Daughters- Lynn Johnson (Billy Joe Mathis) of Tuckasegee Connie Young (Carrell) of Tuckasegee 2 Sons- Bobby Joe Johnson Jr. (Angela) of Cruso, NC Lee Johnson of Tuckasgee 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren also survive 1 Brother- Norman Johnson Jr. of Bryson City 1 Sister- Carolyn Ball of Bryson City Graveside Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday June 25 at Shook Cemetery on Shook Cove with the Rev. Jack Henson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening June 24 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services. .
