Obituary of Florence Jane Watson

Florence Jane Watson, 81, of Cullowhee passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Gene and the late Octavia (Riggins) Watson. She was a member of Black Mountain Baptist Church and retired from WCU in the cafeteria. She enjoyed her flowers and dolls. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Watson, and 3 brothers: Claude, Carl, and Harl Watson Florence is survived by two sons: Ricky, & Billy (Jeraldine) Watson, 1 sister: Louise Leopard, 5 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 27 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27 at Appalachian Funeral Services Chapel, with the Revs. Steve Webb and Johnny Norris officiating. Burial will be in Cullowhee Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
