Obituary of Peggy Joann Anders
Peggy Joann Ensley Anders, 77, of the Tuckasegee community, went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Swain County she had lived most of her life in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late William Joe and Ida Parton Ensley. She worked for 27 years as a baker in Dotson Cafeteria at Western Carolina University until her retirement. Her 2 favorite things were her grandkids and shopping for her grandkids. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by 3 Brothers, Howard, Denny and Harry D. Ensley and 2 sisters, Edna Mathis and Ella Mae Whiteside.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Vernon Davis Anders
4 sons -Gary Dean Anders of Glenville, Wayne and Judy Anders of Tuckasegee, Jerry and Barbara Anders of Webster, Randy and Joann Anders of Tuckasegee.
5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren
2 Sisters- Twins- Genevieve Broom of Frederick, Maryland and Ester Lee Broom of Glenville
And her best friend- Katherine Conner of Tuckasegee
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Jim Ed Powell and Jeff Powell officiating. Burial will be in Tuckasegee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon till 2:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home
