Obituary of Marion Franks

Marion Franks, 70, of Tuckasegee, passed away Monday February 20, 2012 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. A lifelong resident of Jackson County , he worked as a General Contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Floda Mae Hooper Franks, 5 Brothers, Lewis, RL, Elvert, JC and Fred Franks, and one sister, June Franks Craine. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Luker Franks Son- Tony Franks and his wife Tonya, Daughter- Tammy Franks Mathis and husband Todd Six Grandchildren- Jennifer Franks Hooper, Travis and Cheryl Franks, Davey and Daniel Mathis, Simon Librado. Great Grandchildren- Peyton, Reagan, Kailey, Rylee, Devon, Maleek and two special little friends, Elijah and Garrett Luker. 2 Brothers- Clyde and Myron Franks and 2 Sisters- Opal Bryson and Pearl Lusk. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Community Church of God with the Pastor Leonard (Doc) Luker and Rev. Steve Webb officiating.
