Obituary of Lena Jo Parris

Lena Jo Parris 78, of Sylva went home to be with her Lord Thursday August 10, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Alvin lee and Mary Helen Ledford Conner. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Lena Jo loved to garden, loved her family, but most of all she loved her Lord. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son Joey Darrell Greene, three brothers Albert Lee Conner, Larry Leon Conner and Jerry Dennis Conner. She is survived by two sons; Carl Greene (J.R.) and Gary Greene; one daughter Sharon (Ed) Ferguson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother Gary Owen Conner; two sisters Fannie (John) Frady and Janice (Ben) Blackwell. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 13, 2017 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Conner Family Cemetery. Appalachian Funeral Services are handling arrangements for the family.
