Obituary of Jose Guadalupe Martinez

Jose "Lil Joe" Guadalupe Martinez, Jr., 33, of Cherokee passed away Wednesday, August 9th, 2017. He was the son of Lupe and the late Rita F. (Ramsey) Martinez. He was a graduate of Smoky Mountain High School class of 2002. He loved playing his video games and watching UFC fights. First and foremost, he loved his Lord. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncles. He is survived by his father; Lupe Martinez, three aunts; Clara Sequoyah, Annie Young, and Brenda Hernandez, and one uncle; Allen Ramsey, all of Cherokee. He is also survived by one special uncle; Miguel (Denise) Martinez, three other uncles and four aunts, numerous cousins, and his special cat "Tracey." A celebration of "Lil Joe's" life will be held on Sunday, August 13th at 4:00 pm at Tsali Manor Pavilion. All friends and relatives are invited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Cherokee Indian Hospital, 1 Hospital Rd., Cherokee, NC 28719 in "Lil Joe"s" memory. . .
