Obituary of Rita Gayle DeHart

Rita Gayle DeHart, age 61, of Sylva passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. Mrs. DeHart was born February 21st, 1956 in Robbinsville, NC. She was the wife of Edwin Dehart and the daughter of the late Harvey and Faye Crisp. She was a member of Stecoah Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, loved horses, and especially adored her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Dottie Crisp. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years; Edwin Neal DeHart, one daughter; Brittany DeHart, one brother; Doug (Sharon) Crisp, and one sister; Judy Ball. She is also survived by three nieces, four grandnieces, five grandnephews, and her cat, "Kenya" whom she adored. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 27th at 2:00 pm at Jenkins Cemetery in Stecoah, NC with Rev. G.D. Phillips officiating. Appalachian Funeral Services is serving the family. . .
