Obituary of Zachary Taylor Wright

Zachary Taylor Wright died unexpectedly at his residence in Cherokee, NC, on August 25, 2017 at the age of 24. Zachary is survived by his mother, Lori Wright of Sylva; sister, Kristen Wright of Charlotte, brothers, Bradley Wright (Heather Wright) of Clyde, and Jason Wright of Raleigh; his daughter, Lillian June Wright (and her mother, Lauren Wright.) He is also survived by his grandparents, Nicole Proctor of Sylva, and Herbert and Mary Haymond of Spartanburg, SC. Zachary was born on October 14, 1992. He graduated from Smoky Mountain High School in 2011 and immediately entered the United States Marine Corps. He most recently worked as a dealer at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. A service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 at 2PM with visitation from 12-2PM at Appalachian Funeral Services at 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC, 28779. Memorials may be made in Zachary's honor to the Military Veteran Project, Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation of Waynesville, NC, or Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.
