Obituary of Baxter Grant Allen

Baxter Grant Allen 67, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2017 at his home in Glenville, NC. Baxter was born in Asheville, NC to William and Sarah Grant Allen. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 27 years Diane; one brother Turner Allen of Cashiers; two daughters Ashley and husband Patrick Reams of Bay City, TX and Lauren Allen of Greensboro, NC; two step daughters Amanda Fugate and Tiffany Qualls of Cashiers. He loved and adored his grandchildren Jack Reams and Elisabeth Qualls. He was an adventure seeking soul loving to dive, fish, boating, collecting guns, motorcycle riding, snow skiing and anything to see in the National Parks. A receiving of all friends and family is planned for Wednesday, September 13th at 6:00pm at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his name to the Glenville Cashiers Rescue and Glenville Cashiers Fire Department. Appalachian Funeral Services are handling arrangements for the family.
