Obituary of June Joyce Noell

Sylva, NC—June Scott Noell, 91, recently of North Little Rock, passed away from complications of her recent stroke, in her sleep, at home with her family September 28, 2017. June was born June 25, 1926 in Washington D.C. to Charles Leroy Scott and Grace Olivia "ann" Gill Scott. She was raised in Virginia and North Carolina graduating in 1944 from McKinley High School in Washington D.C. where she was selected "best girl cadet" of her senior class. She married William J. Noell in 1952 and had 3 sons; Billy, Steve, and Andy. She was a mother, homemaker, golfer, and employed as the Chief Journal Clerk for the Arkansas House of Representatives in the 1980's and 90's. She and her family moved to Little Rock in January 1964.They joined the Park Hill Presbyterian Church that year and remained a member until her death. June is survived by her husband, Bill, and son Billy (Rose) of Sylva, NC and son Steve (Maria) of Keller, TX, 8 grandchildren John, Eddie, and Sean Noell, Amanda and Angela Craig, Charlie (Stephanie) and Brandy Dodd, Amanda Martin Reinhart and 2 great grandchildren, Bailey Dodd and Will Noell. June was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Andy. June was cremated at a private ceremony held in Sylva on October 1st. A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 5th at 2pm in the Park Hill Presbyterian Church, NLR.
