Dearest Jackson Family,
LeRoy was a constant in our lives...from the days of early childhood. He never failed to give hugs and genuine smiles when we saw each other. What a model he set for the rest of us! I have the feeling that he hung on long enough to see Minnie to her place of peace.
Blessings to all of you as you say Good-By to a special man.
With love,
Becky (Dewees) and Dick Olson

We are so sorry to hear of his passing. LeRoy was on of a kind. As a member of the class of 66, he made the transition easy with is personality. His smile and laughter were contagious. God bless you during this time. We are feeding the Wounded Warriors Vets in Cherokee, we will remember him for his service.

LeRoy and I were classmates in the class of 1966. He had a bright smile and a great personality and I liked him from the first time I met him. It took courage and determination for a young African American man to come to an all white school in the 60s but I'm glad he did. My life was made richer from having known him.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Leroy Jackson. He was a family friend and played football with my cousin Tommy. I saw both he and his mother briefly a few years ago after not having seen him since our childhood in the 1959. It was wonderful spending a few moments with him and seeing his beautiful smile. I have a snapshot of our visit. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of LeRoy. I was a freshman when he entered Sylva Webster High School. I was his tooter in math so he could play football. Not only was he a wonderful football player but he was a very smart boy in math. His Mother, Minnie Jo, was like my Nanny. I love your family and will pray for all of you.
