Obituary of James Paul Thomas

James Paul Thomas,54, of Tuckaseegee passed away November 8, 2017 following a brief
illness. He was the son of the late Marie Hawks Thomas and J.Pelham Thomas.
James was a carpenter and owner of Blue Ridge Porch. He was an active member and
reenactor of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp 1917- Jackson Rangers. In addition to
his father: he is survived by five bossy sisters Sarah Jane Thomas of Asheville,NC, Susan
Reynaud of Cullowhee, Nancy Davis of Crawfordville,FL, Mary Herman of Abingdon, VA and
Martha Thomas of Dillsboro; special friend Dorcus Lundy Mason; two dogs, Peanut and Skippy;
and a multitude of niece's and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Cullowhee Baptist
Church. The family will receive friends at the church before the service starting at 1:30 pm. The
Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1917-Jackson Rangers will conduct a memorial ceremony
at the Cullowhee Baptist Cemetery.
