Obituary of Jay Gibson
John Jay Gibson Jr. was born May 23, 1970 to Caroline Reynolds Embree and the late John Gibson Sr. He was called home to the Good Lord on December 5, 2017 at the age of 47 years.
Jay loved traveling, woodworking, spending time with his family, and working in the greenhouse.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Gail Gibson; his mother and step-father Danny Embree; 3 Sons, Greg, Mace, and Wyatt Gibson; 2 grandchildren, Charlee, and Gracie Gibson; one brother, Richard (Susan) Gibson; 3 step-brothers Harrell Eugene, Andre, and Jason Sardis, and special fur baby, Houdini. Multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to his father, Jay was preceded in death by 2 fur babies, Sadie and Saber.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at 4pm in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
