Obituary of Karen Rice Cole

Karen Rice Cole, 56, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness. 10/1/1961-12/22/2017 She was a member of Rockyface Baptist Church in Canton, NC. She is survived by her husband, Perry Lynn Cole, and daughters, son Kevin Woodard, grandson Henry Woodard, Mother Shirley Rice, Sister Rita Rice, brother Roger and wife Brenda Rice, as well as several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School, attended Western Carolina University, and worked at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital for many years. She was a kind, loving, caring person to her family and others. Services will be held on Wednesday December 27th, 2017 at 2 pm in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends two hours prior to the service.
