Obituary of Peggy Jo Stiles

Peggy Jo Beasley Stiles, passed away peacefully Tuesday January 23, 2018, at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehab after a period of declining health. Peggy was born April 18, 1935 in Sylva, NC. She was the daughter of the late DeWitt and Edith Bumgarner Beasley. She was a graduate of Sylva High School and owned and operated the KFC in Cherokee, NC. She retired in 1990. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother; Charles (Jim) Beasley, his wife Shirley and their son Mike. She is survived by her constant companion Wilson, and her children; Donnie Stiles and Lois of Cullowhee, Jenny Stiles Holland and Lambert Wilson of Sylva, Terry Stiles of the home. She is also survived by a special daughter Karen Martin. Two Sisters; Nell Keener and Art of Cullowhee, Annie Jones of Sylva. One brother; Tommy Beasley and Doris of Sylva. Six fur grandchildren; Prince, Brendle, Daisy, Dakota, Smokey and Jazz. Special Caregiver Pat Tuller. A Funeral Service will be held 7:00 PM Friday January 26 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Steve Jamison officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held earlier in the day at 2:00PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jim and Shirley Beasley Scholarship Fund at Southwestern Community College, 447 College Dr, Sylva, NC 28779
