Obituary of Blanche Lucille Cooper

Lucille Cooper, age 89, of Whittier passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Harris Regional Hospital of Sylva, NC. Lucille was born June 3, 1928 in Jackson County, NC. She is the daughter of the late Thad and the late Emma (Moore) Conner. She was married to Earl M. Cooper who passed away in 2004. Lucille was a loving woman enjoyed doing things for her family. She loved to garden, work around the house and cook big family dinners. She is survived by three children, Jane Green (Wayne) of Waynesville, NC, Earlene Deitz (Sam) of Whittier, NC and Earl Daniel Cooper of Whittier, NC; four grandchildren Tammy, April, Travis and Tiffany; three great grandchildren Candace, Mitchel and Josh; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one daughter Judy Lucille Cooper; one brother and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 9, 2017 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Robert Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Thomas Memorial Cemetery.
