Obituary of Joseph Michael Harrell Sr.

Joseph Michael Harrell, Sr., age 67, of Sylva passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Haywood Regional Medical Center of Clyde, NC. Joseph was born March 29, 1950 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of the late Roy B and the late Mildred Harrell. He was in the sawmill industry for 35 years specializing in production, design and sales. Earlier in life he was a sawing instructor at Haywood Tech. He retired in 2010 from Harrah's Cherokee Casino as a gaming host. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed going camping, fishing and four wheeling with his friends. He is survived by one son Joseph Michael Harrell Jr and wife Payal of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter Layla Harrell and one grandson Hagan Harrell. A private memorial service will be held later date.
