Obituary of Toni Lee Brooks

Toni Kelly Brooks, 71, of Sylva, passed away Sunday February 11, 2018 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation after a period of declining health. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County and was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Kelly and by her husband of 50 Years Clyde H. Brooks. Toni is survived by her son John Brooks and his wife Melissa of Waynesville Grandsons Lawson and Ryan Brother; Tom Kelly and his wife Conchita of Sylva Toni retired after a long career with the Jackson County School System. She enjoyed spending time with family, dining out, reading and puzzles. She was incredibly kind and generous and will be missed greatly by those that knew her. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday February 15 at Lovedale Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. A special word of appreciation must be given to her friends and caregivers at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. They were of great comfort and support at a very difficult time.
