Obituary of Steve Eugene Cooper

Steve Eugene Cooper, age 56, of Qualla went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 12, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father Jim Cooper and one son Clay Cooper. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and music. Steve was a devout family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. Steve also enjoyed inventing and making all sorts of things. He was also a member of the 1979 graduating class of Sylva Webster High School. Steve is survived by his wife Jenny Mobbs Cooper of Qualla; mother Shirley Cooper; granddaughter Sophia Cooper; step grandson Lyceryn Hepker and several cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating.
