Obituary of Ronnie Buchanan

Ronnie Buchanan, 66, a life-long resident of Jackson County's Savannah Community went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Ronnie was the son of the late James Donald and Ruth Buchanan. He retired from Pet Dairy with 40 years of service. Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening with his uncles and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed serving and praising the Lord by singing bass in the Church choir. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy Brooks Buchanan 4 Sons- Scott (Laura), Dustin (Trish), Jason (Brittney) and Travis (Mikayla) 6 Grandchildren- Eli, Max, Clay, Addison, Tucker and Ansley 3 Brothers- Ricky, Johnny and Franky Buchanan Sister- Donna Riddle And by many nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends that were just like family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday March 4 at Locust Field Baptist Church, of which he was a member, officiating will be his sons, Revs. Jason and Travis Buchanan. The family will receive friends Saturday evening March 3 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in Old Savannah Cemetery.
