Obituary of Tony Lane Ensley

Beloved husband and best friend of Shelia Ensley, Tony Ensley age 61 of Sylva, Went home to be with our Lord on March 8th, 2018. He was a happy and loving soul who loved and cherished his family. He found great joy in his many years of coaching football. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and spending every moment he could with his loved ones. Family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed the little things in life and was always so strong. He was always there for his family and was the best husband, dad, and grandpaw anyone could ever ask for. He was a man of God who found joy in listening to hymns and reading his Bible. Tony was the son of the late Alvin and Bonnie Ensley. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Shelia, his daughter Heather Meadows and husband Chris Meadows, grandchildren Lilly, Lacey, and Christopher. His son Scott Ensley, grandchildren Brandon, Brandy and husband Mikey Ashe, great grandson Harley Ashe. Also survived by brothers, Tom Ensley (Lois), Lawrence (Linda), Ed (Martha), and sister Betty Baird (Ken) and many nieces and nephews. He will forever be loved and missed. We were all very blessed to have been loved by this great man. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13th at Appalachian Funeral Home with service following with Rev. Charles Dean officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Chris Meadows, Erny Williams, Ty Gibbs, Jeremy Gibbs, Jay Moody, Russell Ensley, Tommy Ensley, Brandon Ensley, Mikey Ashe and Eddie Monteith.
