Obituary of Leonard Wilson Austin

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Wilson Austin announce his passing. He passed at home in Whittier on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the age of 61. Leonard was born January 9, 1957, in Mecklenburg County, NC, and is the son of the late Clyde and Elmer (Baucom) Austin. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Angela, and his children, Jeremy (Chelsea), Kyle (Lolia), Austin (Heather), and Iva. Leonard will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kylie, Cooper, and Gage, and by his sisters Wanda (Kurt) Wiese, and Betty (Kurmet) Baker. Leonard was preceded in death by his father Clyde Austin, his mother Elmer Austin, and his brother, James Austin. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 21 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Services And Crematorium, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC.
