I recently visited Jim and Sherri in their NC cabin. We sat in the cabin, often late at night, talking and laughing and sharing wonderful memories from the past. Jim could always make you laugh and at the same time make you feel comfortable, important and loved. He was a man of great faith, he loved the lord and his family and touched the lives of everyone around him, rather it was family a friend or an acquaintance. Jim was a great brother and mentor to me and he will sorely be missed, but always remembered and cherished in my heart. He was a gracious, loving and generous man. I love you brother Jim. You will have a place in heaven and always in my heart.

My most sincere sympathy and prayers to the family. Has been several years since I spoke with Jim. I have many fond memories of the times we sat on his front porch while I spent time in New Smyrna Beach. He was honest, sincere, and comical. Jim is at peace; another Angel is watching over all.

We are so sorry to hear about Jimmy. Even though we didn’t see each other a lot, y’all are always in our thoughts. We are praying for your comfort and understanding during this time. May God’s love wrap around each of you, giving you the peace that you will see him again one day. I’m sure all his family was there to welcome him to his heavenly home, including my Dad. He loved Jimmy so much, and so did we. Love you all.

Jim my friend - we had so many High School days of fun and frolic. We started our friendship as soon as I arrived in NSB -- our motorcycle adventures, our many friends (our gang), and so many things we did. Our days at Daytona Beach Junior collage and our work days at Howard Johnson, are forever memories. My prayers, thoughts and blessings go out to your family and friends. Love you. Gary

We never forget our childhood friends we grew up with. We grew up in the best of times & the wonderful memories never fade. Your parents were wonderful people & always so good to us kids. Your Mom made the best cookies ever. RIP Jimmy. Haven't seen you in years but will see you in Heaven on day. Sincere condolences to all your family. Love, Sissy
