Obituary of Samuel David Fisher

David Fisher, age 60, of Sylva, passed away on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 at Skyland Care Center of Sylva, NC, following a prolonged illness. He was the husband of Vicki Kraemer Fisher and the son of the late Ike and Nana Lee Fisher. He was an avid outdoorsman. For the majority of his adult life, he worked as a professional chef in Florida. He dearly loved his family and especially loved coming home to the mountains. In addition to his wife of thirty-six years, he is also survived by one son; Adam David Fisher of Whittier and one sister; Lillian Lampros of Sylva. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Sylva with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to help offset the expenses of the services. Appalachian Funeral Services is assisting the family.
